Boyle - Martin
Martin Boyle is Senior Policy Advisor in Nominet, the registry for .uk Internet domain names. His role includes work to develop the UK-IGF multi-stakeholder partnership to ensure effective British engagement in the international discussions. On the national policy agenda, Martin is working with key stakeholders – including the Internet Watch Foundation, law enforcement agencies and parliamentarians – to contribute to Nominet’s mission to make a positive difference to UK Internet users and to shape the development of the Internet. Martin joined Nominet in February 2008. Previously he was head of the International Communications Policy team in the UK Department for Business, where he was actively involved in the Internet governance negotiations in the World Summit on the Information Society. Following WSIS, he worked with other partners to promote British involvement in the Internet Governance Forum, the initiative that became the UK-IGF.
