Biography:
Prof Zainal Hasibuan PhD, is Consultant, Researcher and Academic Staff at the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Indonesia, Jakarta, and Vice Executive Chairman of the Indonesian National ICT Council of the Republic of Indonesia.
Mr Hasibuan studied Information Science (MSc., 1989) and Information Storage and Retrieval System (PhD., 1995) at the Indiana University, USA.
Zainal Hasibuan is the project leader on the development of e-library and of e-learning project at the University of Indonesia collaborating with DEPKOMINFO (Department of Communications of the Republic of Indonesia).
He was Chair of the International Conference on Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries (ICADL) in 2008.
