Jarban - Ala'a

Ala’a Jarban is a human rights activist and a young blogger. Ala’a was with the first ones to organize protests against the Yemeni regime in 2011 demanding freedom, equality and positive peaceful change in Yemen. Ala’a is 22 years old and is a business student.
Many international media outlets, including CNN, publicized and promoted an initiative by Ala'a through social media to protest against the regime peacefully and clean the streets. Since then, Ala'a has been working with an organization called #SupportYemen. #SupportYemen is consisted of young female and male activists, journalists, videographers, photographers, web-designers and bloggers who are devoted to a clear cause which is esatblishing a democratic civic state where the constitution gives people freedom, equality and social justice to every citizen.
