Akram Atallah joined ICANN in September 2010 as Chief Operating Officer. He brings to his position more than 20 years of experience in engineering development and management, communications technology management, product marketing, and large business restructuring management. After 10 years at Conexant Systems, he left his General Manager and Senior VP position and took on the COO role at CoreObjects Software to successfully restructure the once struggling engineering services startup.

Since 2007 Siranush has been actively involved in Internet Governance issues. She is a Diplo Foundation Alumni, being a part of on Capacity Building Program on Internet Governance in 2007, participated in the First European Summer School on Internet Governance. In 2008 Siranush was one the members of Internet Governance Caucus (IGC) Nomination Committee for Multistakeholder Advisory Committee (MAG). She is an ICANN Fellowship Program Alumni, as well as ISOC Ambassador for IGF 2010 and ISOC Returning Ambassador for IGF 2011.

Philipp Grabensee is Chairman of the Board of Afilias Ltd. Since 2003 and was Member of the Names Council of ICANNs Domain Name Supporting Organisation (DNSO). He studied law and philosophy at the Free University Berlin and the Rheinischen-Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn. He is an attorney with SHSG in Düsseldorf.

Carlos López Blanco, born in Valladolid in 1959, trained as a lawyer at Valladolid University, obtained an A.D. at the IESE Business School, and is a State Lawyer.

Kende - Michael

Michael Kende is the co-Head of the Regulatory Sector at Analysys Mason. Michael is an economist by training, with a Ph.D. from MIT. After MIT, he spent five years as a professor of Economics at INSEAD, a business school near Paris, before joining the Federal Communications Commission. At the FCC, Michael was the Director of Internet Policy Analysis, where he was responsible for managing a wide range of policy analyses and regulatory decisions on Internet policy (including interconnection), broadband deployment, and mergers.

Nizar Zakka is a Lebanese national, educated in USA. He graduated from Texas University in 1990 with dual degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. He subsequently served as a software consultant to Brown & Root based in Houston, Texas. Following his return to Lebanon, he founded several ICT and e-business solution companies, and served as a consultant to numerous public and private sector ICT initiatives in Lebanon and the Middle East.
