She is currently Senior Program Manager at Freedom House where she manages the Global Freedom of Expression Campaign. She regularly leads international advocacy missions, represents Freedom House at the UN Human Rights Council and serves as a spokesperson on media and technology issues. Ms.

Duksh works for the African Network Information Center – AFRINIC, where he manages the organisation's web services as the Webmaster using open source technology since 2007. Prior to AFRINIC, Duksh has worked for several French BPO organisations in Mauritius.

Susie works in the Government and Regulatory Affairs department at the GSMA, the global trade association for the mobile industry. She joined the GSMA in 2006 and is responsible for the management of projects at a regional and global level. Susie heads up the GSMA’s work on mYouth, which covers all policy issues related to children and young people’s use of mobile technology. She holds a Masters degree in Media & Communications Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and a BA (Honours) in Economics from Queens University, Canada.

Michael Kende is the co-Head of the Regulatory Sector at Analysys Mason. Michael is an economist by training, with a Ph.D. from MIT. After MIT, he spent five years as a professor of Economics at INSEAD, a business school near Paris, before joining the Federal Communications Commission. At the FCC, Michael was the Director of Internet Policy Analysis, where he was responsible for managing a wide range of policy analyses and regulatory decisions on Internet policy (including interconnection), broadband deployment, and mergers.

Khaled Koubaa is the Policy Manager North Africa Google, he founded the Internet Society chapter in Tunisia in 2006 and served as President. He served in the Board of Trustees of the Internet Society and he is regularly at events related to the Internet ( ICANN, IETF, IGF, …). He was elected to represent African region in the ICANN Nomination Committee. Khaled serves at the Board of Director of AfriNIC representing North Africa region. He participated in the World Summit on Information Society ( WSIS ) in Tunisia in 2005 and two previous IGFs.

Ndemo - Bitange

Dr. Bitange Ndemo is the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Prior to his appointment as Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ndemo was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Nairobi’s Business School, where he taught entrepreneurship, management and research methods.  Most of his research work centres on Small and Medium Enterprises in Kenya with emphasis on Social Enterprise.
